Following the earlier News Item, we are again delighted to share that RIED has been present and successful at the “Innovation in Action: An Engineering Research Showcase Event”, which was part of the Northern Ireland Science Festival held on 13th February 2025. The Event itself was a huge success and the positive feedback received from the guests has been fantastic and reflected everyone’s hard work and research excellence!
Caitlin Sands has gone on to win Second Prize in the Sir Bernard Crossland Presentation Final and Thomas Shannon won First Prize in the competition for Postdoctoral Presentations. Prof Gary Menary the Deputy Head of the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering presented Caitlin and Thomas with their certificates to commemorate their achievements.
Mark Price also took part and gave a keynote address titled…” “ which again highlighted the RIED research into re-imagining engineering design processes.
