The UK Computational Intelligence Workshop first took place at the University of Edinburgh in 2001. Since then it has been held every year (with the exception of 2020) at institutions around the UK. It invites papers on all aspects of Computational Intelligence, covering a broad range of topics in the area, which are updated each year as the field evolves. The UK CI is sponsored by a number of MPDI Journals including “AI for society”, “knowledge” and “machine learning and knowledge extraction”
This year the three day workshop was hosted by Coventry University and took place in St Mary’s Guild Hall, part of the city’s most historically significant area from the 9th – 11th September 2026.
At this year’s workshop, Simon Hickinbotham gave a presentation entitled “Evolvable Automata for Engineering Design Exploration”. Professor Andy Tyrrell was there in person too, to lend his support.
