Ryan graduated with a PhD from Loughborough University’s Wolfson School of Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering in 2024 with a thesis title of: “Utilising alternative data generation techniques to supplement predictive maintenance tasks in instances of low failure rate or low data volumes.” Additionally in 2018 Ryan graduated from Durham University in 2018 with a Master’s Degree in Physics.
Since April 2024 Ryan has been working as a Research Associate at Loughborough University within the REID program researching Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence for Data-driven Analytics, in particular fault identification/classification of industrial manufacturing equipment.
