Choi received an PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Hongik University, South Korea, in 2024. Choi’s PhD research focused on numerical simulation of multiphase flows and the development of a novel method for effectively predicting fluid flow and heat transfer through a porous media using machine learning.
Choi joined Loughborough University as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in June 2024. His research interests revolve around understanding fluid flow through porous media and multiphase flows, where surface tension is dominant, using computational fluid dynamics.
In April 2025 Choi returned to Korea for a new role.
