On the 22 January 2024, Queens University Belfast announced the launch of a new institutional Equality Scheme and Action Plan 2024-2029. Underpinning the QUB Strategy 2030 and the People and Culture Plan, the new Equality Scheme sets out how QUB will continue to develop an inclusive environment that reflects and supports the values and diversity of its staff and students. It also details how Queens plan to fulfil the statutory equality (Section 75) duties through the promotion of good relations and the steps it will take to ensure equality of access and opportunity for all and to address identified inequalities. Promoting equality and an inclusive community is a collective endeavour within Queens and also within the RIED Programme Team.
