Prof Dr Ola Isaksson

Dr Ola Isaksson is professor in Product Development and leader of the Systems Engineering Design research group. He has a PhD in Computer Aided Design from 1999 at Luleå University of Technology, and until 2015 he had a specialist carrier at GKN Aerospace Engine Systems (former Volvo Aero) in Trollhättan within Engineering Design and Product Development.
He has until now participated in more than 40 research projects nationally and internationally, and has research interest and experience in engineering design support systems for product development. Specifically in Platform Based Development, Set Based Engineering, Multidisciplinary engineering, Value Driven Design, engineering automation, knowledge enabled decision support and development of product-service systems.

Of particular interest to understand and develop product development capabilities to meet new societal and industrial needs and exploit technological advancement in digitalization and manufacturing.

Ola is one founders of the Swedish Product Development Academy in Sweden, and an active member in Design Society as well as ASME and SIG PM.
Ola has 100+ scientific publications and collaborate tightly with industry, nationally and internationally, with a bias towards aerospace and transport oriented manufacturing industry.
