Moeen is a PhD student at Loughborough University, joining the RIED research group in October 2024. His research focuses on the design, manufacture, and validation of porous materials and multifunctional structures. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from IAUCTB, Iran, and a master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering from University of Tehran, Iran. His master’s thesis involved investigating material characterization and the microstructure of a newly developed joints, for which he registered a national patent. His findings have been published in prestigious journals of Springer Nature and SAGE.
Moeen has gained valuable CAD/CAE/CAM industrial experience in the automotive industry for 4 years, working on design and manufacturing varied components of transmission and suspension systems as a R&D member of an engineering department of car manufacturers. In 2024, he was chosen as ambassador of Dassault Systems due to collaborating in the “CATIA Champions Program” which is for top-tier CAD experts and innovative thought leaders.
