Dr. Riddhi Shukla

Dr Riddhi Hirenkumar Shukla is a Research Associate at the Wolfson School of Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering at Loughborough University, where she joined in 2025. Her research focuses on developing sustainable, high-performance biomedical implants using advanced additive manufacturing. Dr Shukla earned her PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Materials Engineering) from Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech), where her doctoral work involved designing Ti-eggshell composites for orthopaedic implants through a hybrid additive manufacturing approach. This innovative research was developed through collaborations across Estonia, the USA, and Sweden. With over seven years of experience in powder metallurgy and ceramics, and four years in biomaterials and AM, she brings deep expertise in materials characterization and sustainable manufacturing practices.
